Report Examines Medicaid Expansion Impact on Adults - Aug. 7, 2012

The Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured released a report examining the impact of the Supreme Court ruling on the Medicaid expansion under the Affordable Care Act. The report looks at states’ current Medicaid eligibility for adults and the effect expansion would have on uninsured adults. States that do not expand may leave adults with incomes between 100 and 138 percent of the federal poverty level without access to Medicaid or subsidies to purchase insurance through the exchanges, putting them at risk of remaining uninsured.
