NAPH Postelection Legislative Event

The end of the year promises to be exciting as Congress works to wrap-up legislation during the lame duck session and the results of the November election will heavily influence Congress’ work throughout this session. Vital funding streams to safety net hospitals may be under threat as Congress looks to offset other federal spending. NAPH has worked to combat the use of reductions in provider taxes, cuts in payments for evaluation and management (E&M) services, and other proposals that take funding away from Medicaid providers. However, these proposals may be resurrected and impair NAPH members’ ability to serve the nation’s most vulnerable populations.

NAPH members are strongly encouraged to join us in Washington, DC on Wednesday, Dec. 12 to educate Congress on the importance of protecting the Medicaid program and share in our mission of opposing these threats to America’s safety net.
