  The National Public Health and Hospital Institute – NAPH’s research affiliate – has been awarded a hospital engagement contract with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS’) Partnership for Patients (PfP).

  NAPH announced the results of an analysis conducted by NAPH that shows public healthcare safety net systems like the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation not only keep their communities healthy but also drive significant economic activity and are often the largest employers in their region.

• Letter from America's Hospitals and Health Systems Urges 'Super Committee' to Protect Medicaid (October 12, 2011)

  NAPH, along with eight other hospital groups, sent this letter to the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction urging members to reject proposals that would undermine the Medicaid program.

• NEW AD CAMPAIGN LAUNCHED TO URGE CONGRESS TO PROTECT MEDICAID (Sept. 20, 2011)

  Washington D.C. –The National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems recently launched an advertising campaign to educate Congress and the Administration about the implications of cutting Medicaid to the nearly 60 million Americans currently covered by the program –mostly children, women and the disabled. Medicaid is under fire from all sides during the deficit reduction debate, and NAPH is standing up for patients and Medicaid beneficiaries across the country.
