The American Pain Foundation reports that 76.5 million Americans struggle with pain without appropriate treatment —and even recommends treating pain as its own disease. When a patient’s pain is under control, they are more comfortable, compliant in their care, and more likely to have better clinical outcomes. Understand how a patient’s perception of care is impacted by pain management and learn how to build an effective relationship with patients and improve their perception of your staff’s responsiveness to their pain.
