CMS to Host Provider Call on Medicare Shared Savings Program Application Process - Aug. 21, 2012

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will host a call for all Medicare fee-for-service providers and interested stakeholders on Aug. 23, at 1 pm ET, to answer questions about the application process for the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP), which will start Jan. 1, 2013. The MSSP will reward accountable care organizations (ACOs) that meet quality performance standards while lowering costs for Medicare fee-for-service beneficiaries. CMS has updated the MSSP application Web page with important dates and materials and encourages call participants to review the updates before the call. Interested providers can register for this call online and access presentation materials here (materials will also be emailed to registrants before the call). Continuing education credit may be awarded to call participants; more information can be found on the continuing education credit notification Web page.
