Congress Wrapping Up Summer Legislative Session - July 31, 2012

Both the House and Senate are concluding the summer legislative sessions to begin their annual August recess, which runs from Aug. 3 until Sept. 10. Members of Congress will remain in their states and districts throughout the recess, as a number of states will hold their congressional primaries in August and early September, and campaigns will start to gear up for the November election. No significant health care legislation is expected to move before the recess.
