House Approves CR, Senate to Clear Measure This Week - Sept. 18, 2012

By a vote of 329-91, the House of Representatives approved the continuing resolution (CR) that would keep discretionary spending at current funding levels through March 27. The Senate is expected to clear this measure sometime this week, and President Obama is expected to sign it. This CR eliminates the threat of a government shutdown, as the current fiscal year – and funding for the federal government – ends Sept. 30.
