House Votes to Repeal the ACA - July 17, 2012

By a vote of 244–185, the House of Representatives on July 11 voted to approve H.R. 6079, which would repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Five Democrats joined the Republican majority in favor of repeal. The Senate, however, is unlikely to take up this legislation, and the president has noted that he would veto the bill if it reached his desk.
