West Virginia University (WVU) Hospitals is a 531-bed tertiary care center committed to providing the highest level of health care to all and dedicated to supporting important educational and social welfare activities in the community and providing financial support to the health professions education programs of WVU. WVU Hospitals includes Ruby Memorial Hospital, the largest facility in the system and home to the most current medical imaging system in the state; WVU Children’s Hospital, which offers care to high-risk mothers, premature infants and children with life-threatening conditions; Jon Michael Moore Trauma Center, West Virginia’s only nationally verified level 1 trauma center; Chestnut Ridge Hospital in Morgantown, a leading regional referral center for the treatment of psychiatric illness and addiction for adults, adolescents and children; and WVU Hospitals-East, which includes two hospitals, a network of clinics and home health care. WVU Hospitals serves as the primary teaching destination for WVU’s health professions school and is widely considered a leading employer of choice in the community.
