The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center
Established in 1994, The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center (UNM) is the largest academic health complex in the state. Located on the University of New Mexico campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico, UNM combines its four missions areas—education, research, patient care and community outreach—to provide residents with the highest level of health care. The UNM Health Sciences Center includes Colleges of Nursing and Pharmacy, a School of Medicine, the Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center, UNM Hospitals, and the UNM Cancer Research and Treatment Center. UNM recently opened its new center for Family and Community Health, serving a diverse population including Spanish and Vietnamese patients as well as refugees from Iraq and Africa. All clinic employees speak Spanish.
