Hurley Medical Center
Founded in 1905, Hurley Medical Center is the largest medical center in Genesee County and the region’s only Level 1 trauma center. Hurley is home to many of the region’s only specialty care centers, including its Burn Center, Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Level 1 Trauma Center, Maternal and Fetal Care Center, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Emergency Room, Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Center, and a Kidney Transplantation Partnership with Henry Ford Health System. Hurley is a major site for clinical education, training more than 90 residents annually and maintaining affiliations with Michigan State University, the University of Michigan, the University of Michigan-Flint, Mott Community College, and Henry Ford Health System. Hurley is one of the area’s largest employers.
