UW Medicine Health System is an academic medical center that provides patient-centered care using the latest in medical discovery, diagnoses and treatments. Its hospitals, including Harborview Medical Center, UW Medical Center and Valley Medical Center, are renowned for providing high-quality primary and specialized care in areas such as organ transplantation, cancer treatment, heart care, high-risk pregnancy and neonatal intensive care, rehabilitation, orthopedics, neurology and neurosurgery. UW Medicine also includes the only level I adult and pediatric trauma and burn center serving Washington state, Alaska, Montana and Idaho.
