Position Description:
Gouverneur is seeking a dynamic, highly-organized professional to execute communications and development projects. The Executive Director’s primary point of contact, the Executive Project Manager will produce, proofread and edit written communications, such as high-level reports, business plans, speeches, correspondence with public officials, press releases, and employee-wide announcements. S/he will drive the executive leadership team by coordinating, overseeing and ensuring the timely completion of major projects and day-to-day office activities. Other responsibilities include researching and analyzing healthcare topics, building and maintaining internal databases, planning workflows, staffing senior staff members, summarizing executive meetings, and managing the Executive Director’s agenda.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have at least two years of related work experience; a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Marketing/ Advertising, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree preferable); exceptional written and verbal communications skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office programs; a proactive, interpersonal, and diplomatic management style; the ability to work under time pressure; and a passion for our mission.

Organization Description:
Gouverneur Health, an academic affiliate of NYU School of Medicine and Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, provides high-quality ambulatory care, sub-acute, rehabilitation medicine and skilled nursing services. We are located in Manhattan's Lower East Side, an up-and-coming area adjacent to the East Village attracting a new generation of students, artists, and business owners. We are expanding to meet community need and will soon complete a $200 million modernization project that includes the construction of a new ambulatory care pavilion for our Center for Community Health and Wellness, and the creation of ‘Residence at Gouverneur Court’, a next generation level state-of-the-art health facility with 295 sub-acute, medically complex, rehabilitative and skilled nursing beds.
