Preventable Hospital-Acquired Conditions

Study after study indicates patients can and do to get injured or sicker from preventable, adverse events after being admitted to a hospital. Yet, successful efforts addressing preventable hospital-acquired conditions have demonstrated that collaboration and use of innovative practices to target specific types of medical errors and complications work. Knowing that reducing preventable complications can improve patient outcomes, as well as the bottom line, NAPH members continue to implement replicable programs and strategies across their hospitals.
