About NAPH - Overview
The National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems represents America's safety net hospitals and health systems. These facilities provide high-quality health services for all patients, including the uninsured and underinsured, regardless of ability to pay. They provide many essential community-wide services, such as primary care, trauma care, and neonatal intensive care, and train many of America's doctors, nurses, and other health care providers. NAPH has cultivated a strong presence on Capitol Hill, and is the only national organization representing the interests of safety net hospitals and health systems before Congress and the Administration. Through our successful lobbying efforts, this collective voice has made an enormous impact on legislation affecting member hospitals and the nation’s most vulnerable populations. NAPH works closely with four organizations to accomplish its mission of serving the interests of safety net hospitals and health systems:
California Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems
National Public Health and Hospital Institute
Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access
University HealthSystem Consortium
