This week, we continue with efforts to mark the six-month anniversary of the passage of health reform legislation. In this fifth installment for our Health Reform Perspectives video series, we hear from Lunda Curtis, a leader from Bellevue Hospital Center and HHC's South Manhattan Health Care Network.
Lynda Curtis describes where health reform will take us in terms of access, but reminds us that access does not mean quality. Though increasing the number of covered patients is a positive move, hospitals still must work to achieve excellence in quality care delivery. She notes that safety net hospitals will continue to serve that critical role of providing high quality care for underserved populations.
