2012 Gage Awards

2012 Awards Program

Hardwiring Safety & Promoting Health

We are no longer accepting applications for the 2012 Gage Awards Program. Applicants will be notified in March and awards will be presented during the NAPH Annual Conference in San Francisco, June 20-22.

We will begin accepting applications for the 2013 awards in December.

This important program was recently renamed after NAPH founder Larry S. Gage. The 2012 Gage Awards Program:

  • Recognizes outstanding work of NAPH members
  • Spreads innovative programs to other NAPH safety net organizations
  • Recognizes the learning necessary for NAPH members to successfully implement improvement and change projects
  • Supports NAPH’s research, policy and advocacy work by translating information about successful NAPH safety net members to external audiences

This year, the awards will recognize organizations for programs in the following two categories:

Quality and Safety
Recognizes activities that have improved the quality of care delivered and/or reduced or eliminated harmful events to individual patients or groups of patients. Examples include use of evidence-based interventions, standardized practices, bundles of care and check lists.

Population Health
Recognizes improvement activities that have improved delivery, access or value to specific populations served in your community by your hospitals/health care system.
