- Essential Hospitals Institute
Essential Hospitals Institute, first established in 1988 as the National Public Health and Hospital Institute, is the private, nonprofit research affiliate of America’s Essential Hospitals. The institute researches and promotes best practices in health care, especially for vulnerable populations and underserved communities. It uses data analysis and lessons learned to help members of America’s Essential Hospitals and the industry as a whole improve quality and efficiency. The institute, which also educates and trains senior administrators and clinical leaders, comprises a Research Center and the Transformation Center, a catalyst for innovative change to improve quality and safety.

Established in 1983, CAPH is a statewide trade association representing 19 public and nonprofit hospitals, academic medical centers and comprehensive health care systems working on the front lines of health care in California.
- Eyman Associates
Eyman Associates, headed by our longtime association counsel Barbara Eyman, provides legal and policy services to America's Essential Hospitals. The attorneys at Eyman Associates have a deep history of representing us and our members on federal and state Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, and health reform issues, as well as other legal and policy matters, including reimbursement, delivery system reform, Affordable Care Act opportunities and challenges, governance, academic affiliations, regulatory compliance and enforcement. Barbara Eyman also serves as our general counsel, and Sarah Mutinsky as deputy general counsel.
- Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access
Safety Net Hospitals for Pharmaceutical Access (SNHPA) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit organization of 1,000 public and private non-profit hospitals and health systems throughout the United States that participate in the Public Health Service 340B drug discount program. SNHPA, which was originally named the Public Hospital Pharmacy Coalition, was formed in 1993 to increase the affordability and accessibility of pharmaceutical care for the nation's poor and underserved populations.

UHC, formed in 1984 and located in Chicago, is an alliance of 118 academic medical centers and 293 of their affiliated hospitals representing the nation's leading academic medical centers.
