As part of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, University of Mississippi Health Care employs more than 9,000 staff, all working toward a single mission – patient care. The system comprises three branches – University Hospitals and Health System (UHHS), Batson Children’s Hospital (the only one in Mississippi), and University Physicians (representing more than 125 specialties). UHHS includes the flagship and teaching hospital, University Hospital, Wallace R. Conerly Critical Care Hospital, Winfred L. Wiser Hospital for Women and Infants, and Holmes County Hospital and Clinics. These facilities provide a range of services including the state’s only level I trauma center, only bone marrow transplant unit, only level IIIC neonatal intensive care unit and only OB/GYN emergency room.
