Minority Health

Illness and injury affect all Americans, yet many minorities and vulnerable populations struggle to gain equal access to health care. Safety net providers have long worked to reduce disparities in care and achieve greater health outcomes for the minority populations they serve. NAPH members are developing innovative programs that focus on the cultural, linguistic and socioeconomic challenges their patients face in accessing care and maintaining their health once discharged from the hospital. In recognition of Minority Health Month, we’ve collected a sample of these innovations from the membership. Read on to learn more about this exciting work.
