
NAPH members serve as the training ground for a large percentage of the country’s physicians, nurses and other health care professionals. In fact, more than three-quarters of NAPH members are teaching institutions. And, in 2010, NAPH members trained 21 percent of the doctors and more than 9 percent of the allied health professionals trained at acute care facilities nationwide. Our members are approaching this crucial work with the same innovation and progressive thinking that drives many of their clinical and administrative initiatives. They are integrating critical areas of focus such as quality, patient-centered care and health disparities into their training programs so tomorrow’s providers are well-prepared to step into a changing health care system and provide the best possible care to their patients.
