HRSA Releases Recovery Act Workforce Funds to States - October 13, 2009
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced $7.6 million in grants to assist states in recruiting health care providers. Eighteen states will receive $5.8 million in funds under the State Loan Repayment Program, which assists states in funding provider loan repayment programs. An additional 45 grantees in health professional shortage areas will receive $1.8 million to recruit National Health Service Corps clinicians
