AHRQ Seeks Nominations for U.S. Preventive Services Task Force - September 15, 2010

On August 30, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) announced that it would seek nominations for new members to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF). The USPTF consists of experts that make independent evidence-based recommendations regarding the provision of clinical preventive services. As part of health reform, their participation will be particularly critical as the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) will be taking their recommendations into consideration when determining which preventive care services insurers must cover for free. Nominations may be emailed to uspstfnominations@AHRQ.hhs.gov and must be received by October 1.
