CMS to Hold Feedback Session on Medicare Data for Performance Measurement - September 15, 2010

On August 27, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that it would be holding a listening session regarding implementation of Section 10332 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which would make data available to qualified entities for the evaluation of the performance of providers of services and suppliers by January 1, 2012. The session is open to any interested stakeholder and will provide an overview of Section 10332, followed by a discussion of comments on implementation of the requirements. Stakeholders may participate by phone or in person; registration for the session must be completed by 5 PM Eastern on September 16, and the session will be held on September 20, beginning at 9:00 AM Eastern. More information on the listening session will be forthcoming on the CMS website.
