Palm Beach County Celebrates New Hospital Opening - November 17, 2009
NAPH member Health Care District of Palm Beach County recently celebrated the opening of its new 70-bed hospital, Lakeside Medical Center, in Belle Glade, Florida. Lakeside Medical Center, which originally planned to open in 2010, was completed four months ahead of schedule and more than $6 million under budget. The state-of-the-art 146,000 square-foot facility replaces Glades General Hospital, which was built in the 1940s. Funding for the new medical center was provided by the Health Care District, the Glades Healthcare Foundation, and private donors. NAPH congratulates the Health Care District on the opening of this impressive new facility.
