ONC Issues Updated HIT Strategic Plan, Seeks Comments - March 29, 2011

The federal Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) for Health Information Technology (HIT) on March 25 issued an updated 2011-2015 strategic plan for HIT. The strategic plan includes a number of HIT goals, including achieving meaningful use, improving care through HIT, cultivating trust in HIT, empowering individuals to use HIT to improve their health, and achieving rapid learning and technological advancement. ONC will accept comments on the proposed strategic plan through April 22 at ONC’s HIT Buzz Blog.
