New Leaders for Innovation, Advocacy Join NAPH - July 6, 2011
The National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (NAPH) recently announced the addition of Jill Steinbruegge, MD, PhD, to its executive team as Senior Vice President for Leadership and Innovation. Beth Feldpush, DrPH, also joins the team as Vice President for Policy and Advocacy.
A seasoned veteran with strategic growth and change leadership experience, Steinbruegge is a physician leader who has a proven track record in working with large health care organizations. She previously held executive positions at the Permanente Federation and has most recently led work for the California HealthCare Foundation to improve the patient experience in California safety net organizations. In her new role, Steinbruegge will oversee the newly created National Public Health and Hospital Institute’s Transformation Center — expanding the organization’s capacity to provide resources and tools to help safety net hospitals transform how they deliver care to patients by utilizing more integrated high‐quality, affordable and population‐focused models.
Feldpush, brings her experience from the American Hospital Association, the U.S. Government Accountability Office and the American Medical Women’s Association. She is an expert on key components of health reform implementation and delivery system reform, including value-based purchasing and hospital readmissions. Feldpush will use this expertise to advocate on behalf of our members and the vulnerable patients they serve. Both new leaders will take the helm this month and can be reached via email at jsteinbruegge@naph.org and bfeldpush@naph.org.
