Health Reform Law Contains New Compliance Measures - April 7, 2010
The comprehensive health reform law enacted in March contains many new compliance measures for health care providers. Among other requirements, the law includes new measures for non-profit hospitals to maintain their tax-exempt status, and expands health care fraud and abuse law. NAPH will be hosting a 3-month series of educational conference calls on health reform implementation issues. Ropes & Gray, counsel for NAPH, provides comprehensive coverage of health reform, including the new compliance requirements, through its Health Reform Resource Center. Members may consider visiting the site often for updates as health reform is implemented in the coming months and years.
