This Week is National Health Care Quality Week - October 19, 2010

The National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (NAPH) joins healthcare quality organizations and professionals around the nation in celebrating the National Association of Healthcare Quality’s (NAHQ) National Healthcare Quality Week, Oct. 17-23, 2010. The week highlights the influence of healthcare quality professionals in achieving improved patient care outcomes and healthcare delivery systems. NAHQ is a professional organization with the goal of knowledge sharing and represents healthcare quality in all settings and specialty areas.

NAPH will be celebrating the tremendous quality efforts of our member hospitals and health systems with various activities. First, our own Safety Net Matters blog will feature a five-part series written by leaders in health care quality.

In addition, we will also be participating in virtual conversations with quality and health professionals worldwide. There will be designated chat times on Twitter for physicians (#MDchat) and nurses (#RNchat), as well as ongoing tips from our Twitter handle, @NAPH1981.
