NAPH Meets with White House Office of Health Reform - November 17, 2009

Senior NAPH staff met with Mike Hash and Lauren Aronson (Senior Advisors in the White House Office of Health Reform) on November 12 to discuss NAPH’s integrated delivery system and transitional coverage proposals, including its Community-Based Collaborative Care Networks (CCNs) proposal. NAPH also reiterated its top health reform priorities—preserving Medicaid and Medicare disproportionate share hospital (DSH) payments and extending the 340B drug discount program to the hospital inpatient setting. Hash and Aronson were interested in learning more about the CCN proposal that was adopted as part of the House health reform bill that passed on November 7, and encouraged NAPH to continue to share its ideas regarding transitional coverage with the Administration.
