NAPH and UHC Issue HIT Incentive Payment Policy Brief - December 8, 2009

Following NAPH’s November 18 webinar on health information technology (HIT) incentive payments; NAPH and University Health System Consortium (UHC) have released Health Information Technology Incentives: What’s at Stake for NAPH Members. This Policy Brief describes the HIT incentive payment provisions enacted under ARRA, and estimates the amount of HIT incentive payments that are potentially available to NAPH members. With proposed regulations on the definition of “meaningful use” of HIT expected to be issued before the end of this year, NAPH encourages members to assess their HIT implementation progress. NAPH will be hosting a meeting in Washington D.C. on January 21, 2010 to discuss the anticipated regulations.
