NAPH Launches Public Hospital Patient Safety Program - December 15, 2009

NAPH has partnered with Kaiser Permanente and the National Patient Safety Foundation to establish a program to improve patient safety at public hospitals. The program will assist public hospitals in adopting innovative patient safety and quality care programs and will establish a shared set of patient safety tools and techniques. Kaiser Permanente will provide $718,000 to fund the program at 85 hospitals over a two-year period. An initial group of 42 NAPH member hospitals will participate in the first phase of the program. A second group of 43 hospitals will be selected to participate in the program in 2010. Please contact Lindsey Marshall at NAPH at 202-585-0570, or lmarshall@naph.org, for additional information about the program.
