NAPH Issues Comment Letter on HIT Definition of Meaningful Use - March 2, 2011

On Feb. 25, NAPH submitted a letter to the Office of the National Coordinator’s Health Information Technology (HIT) Policy Committee in response to a request for comments on their preliminary recommendations for Stage 2 of the definition of meaningful use. The Committee plans to review the public comments and issue final recommendations in the summer of 2011. CMS will consider these recommendations when issuing rules to update the definition of meaningful use with Stage 2 criteria, which CMS expects to do by the end of 2011.
