NAPH Comments on Hospital and Health Care Complexes Cost Report - June 2, 2010

On May 28, the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (NAPH) submitted comments to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Desk Officer at the Office of Management and Budget in response to an April 30 Comment Request. The comments related to Worksheet S-10, which collects hospital uncompensated and indigent care data. NAPH’s letter provided suggestions on how to more accurately calculate total unreimbursed and uncompensated care costs, uncompensated and indigent care costs, charity care costs, and how to define Medicaid “net revenues.”
