CMS Posts Lewin Group Report on Medicaid Rules - March 17, 2010
CMS recently posted on its website the results of last year’s Lewin Group Report to Congress. The Congressionally mandated report was commissioned by HHS to investigate the impact that four Bush-era regulations would have had on the Medicaid program. The four regulations would have required non-federal payments to providers to come solely from governmental agencies, and would have tightened rules related to graduate medical education, rehabilitative services, and school-based services. The rules were subjected to a Congressional moratorium and later repealed by President Obama. The full report may be found here.
