NAPH Legislative Event is a Big Success! - September 28, 2009

Thanks to all NAPH members who attended the NAPH legislative event last week. We visited more than 120 congressional offices on Tuesday and Wednesday with our message in support of comprehensive health care reform. Other issues that members carried to their legislators included maintaining the Medicaid and Medicare DSH cuts at the levels in the House health reform bill, supporting coordinated care networks for safety net providers, and retaining the 340B language that extends the discount to inpatient drugs.

We would particularly like to thank Jackson Health System, Harris County Hospital District and Sinai Health System for bringing board members and trustees to the legislative event. Thanks again to all of you for making the public hospital voice heard and for our largest legislative event ever!
