Louisiana Congressional Delegation Urges HHS to Reconsider DSH Reporting and Audit Rule - 6/22/09

The seven members of the Louisiana congressional delegation serving in the House of Representatives sent a letter to HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on June 12 to urge the Secretary to reconsider the Medicaid disproportionate share hospital (DSH) reporting and audit rule and to rescind provisions of the rule that would narrow the definition of “uninsured” for the purpose of calculating DSH-eligible costs.  Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) is currently circulating a similar sign-on letter to all senators.  NAPH urges members to contact their senators to request they that sign the Landrieu letter.
