House Expected to Aggressively Investigate ACA Implementation, Write ‘Replace’ Bills - January 25, 2011
After passage of symbolic legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act last week, House Republicans have signaled their intent to begin the process of undoing implementation of the massive health reform law, as well as to write legislation to change or “replace” the current law. The House Energy and Commerce Committee has announced tentative plans for a series of hearings, beginning with a hearing featuring the impact of the ACA on states. The Committee is expected to invite several governors from around the country to testify, but formal plans have not been announced.
