House Reform Bill Will Not Include DSH Cuts - 6/19/09

Yesterday afternoon, senior House Committee staffers confirmed for NAPH that the House health care reform legislation, to be released today, will not include any cuts to Medicaid or Medicare Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) payments. Congratulations! This is a significant victory for safety net hospitals. The House has released a brief outline of its bill. Other details of the House bill are not immediately available but are expected to be released later today. NAPH will provide more information early next week.
