Senate Eyeing FMAP as Hospital Leaders Come to DC - July 14, 2010
On Thursday, July 15, hospital leaders from around the country will participate in a one-day advocacy day being co-hosted by NAPH and other national hospital associations. The primary “ask” for the fly-in is for Congress to extend enhanced federal Medicaid funding for states (FMAP) – a top NAPH priority. The Senate failed to invoke cloture on a bill in June which would have included such an extension, among other provisions. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) signaled his intent to try to pass a similar measure in July.
