Health Reform Repeal Vote Delayed - January 12, 2011

The U.S. House of Representatives postponed all legislative activity this week, including a vote on legislation to repeal the Affordable Care Act, as a result of the weekend’s tragic events in Tucson, Ariz. The vote has not been rescheduled but it is expected to take place sometime early next week. NAPH continues to be a strong supporter of health reform and issued this statement when the repeal bill was released on Jan. 5. NAPH is one of only two national hospitals associations (the other is the Catholic Health Association of the United States) likely to issue such statements.
