HRSA Distributes $25.7 Million in Community Health Center Grants - September 1, 2009
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius announced the distribution of $25.7 million in grants to community health centers around the country. A total of 180 grants will help existing health centers add or increase mental health and substance abuse services and expand “enabling services,” such as outreach, transportation, case management, oral health, and pharmacy services. The agency also released 48 planning grants to develop new service delivery sites in areas that do not have health centers and have been hit hard by the economic downturn.
