ONC Seeks Comments on HIT Standards Committee Recommendations - June 15, 2010
On June 2, the Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) published a notice of committee recommendations and invitation for public input. Specifically, ONC seeks comments on recommendations made by the Health Information Technology (HIT) Standards Committee at its April 28 meeting. The recommendations focused on standards for governance, funding and infrastructure, and ways to help promote interoperability between providers and the HIT systems they deploy. Individuals wishing to make comments are encouraged to present at the Committee’s next meeting on June 30, 2010, from approximately 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Washington Marriott.
