HHS Releases Updated State Medicaid DSH Allotments - September 8, 2009

On September 3, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released updated preliminary FY 2009 state Medicaid DSH allotments, taking into account additional funds for DSH included in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). ARRA provided a 2.5% increase in state DSH allotments for fiscal years 2009 and 2010. The increased federal support amounts to $269 million across the country.
