HHS Awards $28.8 Million to Community Health Centers - August 17, 2011

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on Aug. 9 announced that it is awarding a total of $28.8 million to 67 community health centers to create new health care delivery sites and provide care for an additional 286,000 patients. The New Access Points grants, which will be administered by the Health Resources and Services Administration, are made available by the Affordable Care Act. HHS listed the New Access Points grantees online, along with more information on the HRSA Community Health Center Program.
