CMS Announces Open Door Forum on Medicare Shared Savings - June 15, 2010

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) recently posted details of its Special Open Door Forum on the Medicare Shared Savings Program. The forum will focus on the formation and use of accountable care organizations (ACOs), and will seek comments from physicians, physician associations, hospitals, consumer groups, and others interested in the implementation of the program. The forum is scheduled for June 24, from 2:00-4:00 pm ET. CMS' recent question and answer on implementation of Medicare ACOs and the Medicare Shared Savings Program is available online.
