President Obama Names Members to Fiscal Reform Commission - March 2, 2010

February 26, President Obama named new members to join the bipartisan National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform. The members are: David Cote, president of Honeywell; Ann Fudge, former chairman and CEO of Yum & Rubicam Brands; Alice Rivlin, former Office of Management and Budget Director under President Clinton, senior fellow in the Economic Studies Program at the Brookings Institution and visiting professor at Georgetown University; and Andy Stern, president of the Service Employees International Union. These members join the Commission’s co-chairs—former White House Chief of Staff Erskine Bowles and former Republican Senate Whip Alan Simpson. The Commission is charged with providing recommendations to Congress by December 1, 2010 aimed at balancing the budget by 2015.
