After Extensive Advocacy, House Intends to Move Extenders Bill with FMAP Extension - May 11, 2010

House Democratic leaders announced their intention to move a package of program extenders and job creation provisions. The chamber may take up the issue this week or next. The bill is expected to include a six-month extension of enhanced federal Medicaid payments to states (FMAP), through June 2011. Earlier today, 219 members of the House sent a letter to House leaders requesting the six-month extension.
