FEMA Announces FY 2010 Homeland Security Funds for State and Local Governments - December 15, 2009
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has released guidance and application kits for 13 grant programs aimed at strengthening emergency preparedness and emergency response systems. Among the 13 programs is the Homeland Security Grant program, which provides funds for metropolitan medical response systems. Other programs include the Emergency Management Performance Grants Program and the Regional Catastrophic Preparedness Program, which are aimed at shoring up state, local and regional all-hazards emergency management capabilities.
