HHS Seeks Comments on Evaluation of SAMHSA Primary Care Behavioral Health Integration Grant Program - December 14, 2010
On Dec. 7, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services issued a request for public comment on a proposed evaluation of the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Administration/Center for Mental Health Services’ (SAMHSA/CMHS) Primary Care Behavioral Health Integration Grant Program. The grants were awarded in 2009 and 2010, with the goal of improving the overall wellness and physical health of individuals with serious mental illnesses (SMIs). SAMHSA’s proposed evaluation is intended to evaluate the effect of integrated primary care services on the physical and mental health of those with SMIs. Stakeholders who would like to provide their feedback on the evaluation and its design may contact Sherette.funncoleman@hhs.gov, or call the Reports Clearance Office at (202) 690–6162 by Jan. 7, 2011.
